led a delegation to visit the National Chamber of Commerce of Qatar and the Taleb Group

At 11:25 a.m. on September 3, Qatar's local time, Fan Ruiping, Member of the Standing Committee of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Chengdu Municipal Committee, led a delegation of Chengdu Foreign Affairs Office, Chengdu Investment Promotion Bureau, Chengdu High-tech Zone and Chengdu Longquanyi District to visit the Qatar National Chamber of Commerce. Ahmed Abu Neyah, Secretary General of the National Chamber of Commerce of Qatar, Ms. Susanna, Director of Taleb Group, and Mr. Samuel Wan, Executive Director of China Qatar Commercial Center, warmly welcomed the Secretary Fan Ruiping and the delegation from Chengdu.

Subsequently, the two sides held friendly talks. During the talks, Secretary Fan Ruiping introduced in detail the development of Chengdu in recent years, especially Chengdu's core position in the national strategy of the Belt and Road, the central hub of China's western gateway city and the Eurasian Continental Bridge. Secretary Fan Ruiping exchanged cooperation intentions with the Qatar side in the fields of sports + industry, trade, infrastructure construction, aviation logistics, etc., and invited the Qatar National Chamber of Commerce and the Taleb Group to visit Chengdu in a timely manner to investigate all kinds of high-quality industrial resources in Chengdu, docking related excellent enterprises and establishing good cooperative relations with them.

Mr. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Mohammed Al Thani, Chairman of the National Chamber of Commerce of Qatar warmly welcomed Fan Ruiping, Secretary of the Chengdu Municipal Committee, and the delegation for their visit to Qatar's National Chamber of Commerce. He expressed his sincere appreciation for the achievements of Chengdu in recent years and very glad to recommend excellent Qatari enterprises to visit Chengdu recently to conduct business investigation. He believes that bilateral enterprises can establish good cooperative relations in many fields, thus promoting Qatar and Chengdu to achieve mutual benefit and harmonious symbiosis within the framework of China's Belt and Road National Strategy and Qatar 2030 National Vision!

Mr. Mohamed Taleb Al Khauri, Chairman of the Qatar Taleb Group, introduced in detail the development process of Taleb Group in the past 65 years, and shared the relevant cooperation with Chinese enterprises in recent years. He also shared the wonderful experience of visiting Chengdu twice. Mr. Mohamed Taleb asked Secretary Fan Ruiping questions in the field of foreign trade and economic investment in Chengdu.

Secretary Fan Ruiping spoke highly of the achievements made by Taleb Group in Qatar in the past 65 years. He was gratified by Chairman Mohamed Taleb's two visits to Chengdu. He answered the questions asked by Chairman Mohamed Taleb about Chengdu's foreign economic and trade investment and sincerely invited the Taleb Group to conduct an in-depth inspection of Chengdu with the Qatar National Chamber of Commerce in the near future, and encouraged the Taleb Group to invest in high-quality projects in Chengdu as soon as possible.

At 12:30 p.m., witnessed by the leaders of both sides, Mr. Fang Cunhao, Secretary of the Party Committee of Chengdu High-tech Zone, and Mr. Mohamed Taleb, Chairman of the Taleb Group, formally signed the Memorandum of Understanding between Chengdu High-tech Industrial Development Zone and the Taleb Group. The two sides will make full use of their respective resources to jointly promote exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment, education, culture, supply chain logistics, cross-border e-commerce and technological innovation, and promote mutual understanding and openness in bilateral open cooperation.

At 12:40 pm, Secretary Fan Ruiping of the Chengdu Municipal Committee and the delegation bid farewell to the National Chamber of Commerce of Qatar, accompanied by Saleh Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Director of the National Chamber of Commerce of Qatar, went to Holiday Villa for lunch, a hotel owned by Taleb Group. Joye Chen, General Manager of Holiday Villa Hotel, led the hotel's senior management team to welcome the delegation.

During the meal, Secretary Fan Ruiping and the Chairman Mohamed Taleb Al Khauri of the Taleb Group once again held in-depth and fruitful discussions on cooperation between Chengdu and Qatar in the fields of bilateral free trade, transit trade, mutual establishment of economic centers, mutual economic center, establishment of international education city, international medical city in Chengdu, sports industry and other fields. The Chairman of the Taleb Group and the Director of the National Chamber of Commerce of Qatar said that they would convey Secretary Fan Ruiping's sincere invitation and cooperation proposals to Qatar Free Trade Zone, Qatar National Investment Bureau, Qatar Sports City and other government agencies, and organize the relevant Qatar leaders to conduct in-depth visits to Chengdu as soon as possible and promote the cooperation development of Chengdu and Qatar.

At the end of the meal, Secretary Fan Ruiping and Chairman Mohamed Taleb presented gifts to each other.

At 14:40 pm, Secretary Fan Ruiping of the Chengdu Municipal Committee and the delegation’s visit to Qatar National Chamber of Commerce successfully concluded in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.
